Greetings.  My name is Katsuhiro Tsumori and I am joining as a new member on the Board of Directors.  I was born and raised in the Nara Prefecture, and I am currently working as a licensed tax accountant in the city of Nara.

 

When I participated in the Nara International Film Festival last year following a friend’s advice, I was really blown away by the transformation of the 52 Steps into the glamorous Red Carpet, and as a spectator, it felt like a very distant world to me.

 

I would have never imagined then that I would be offered to serve such an important role for the festival.  As a new member on the team, I’m brainstorming all the ways that I can bring my experience and abilities to the table to best contribute to the NIFF.

 

There’s still so much that is new to me, but I plan on learning, one step at a time.
