むすびMUSUBI

Born in Oasaka, YAMAZAKI is based in the Kansai region. After graduating from Visual Arts College in Osaka, she started in the television industry and founded her own production company, Okoku. At Image Forum Festival in 1996 “Bread and Christ with the Cross Under the Stove” was named a Jury’s Special Recommendation, and received the Jury’s special prize at the 13th Nagaoka Asian Movie Festival. ”Nightingale” participated in the Korean Indies Forum Festival 2008 and “Things I Can Do for You” was screened at the 10th Tateshina Korean Film Festival and Fukaya Indeies Film Festival 2008. “Sakura”, which combines elements of fiction and documentary, played as a special screening at the 17th TAMA CINEMA FORUM. At Nara International Film Festival 2010, she joined in NARAtive project and made the film “Bion” produced by Naomi Kawase. This work was invited to 28th Torino Film Festival and screened at Maison de culture Japon. ”Musubi” is one of the films to support the reconstruction of the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake.
